As a result of his conviction for sexually assaulting a woman in 2018, Jarryd Hayne is in the headlines. Hayne is currently being tried for the third time in connection with the same incident. The first trial ended in a hung jury, and the second's guilty judgment was reversed on appeal.
Amellia Bonnici is Hayne's wife. According to rumors, they wed "secretly" in the midst of his rape trial.
Amellia Bonnici gained recognition due to her lover's reputation not long after they started dating. She completed her first education at Great Lakes High School. After meeting on Instagram in 2016, Amellia Bonnici and Jarryd Hayne started dating. They were engaged in 2021, five years after they first started dating.

Amellia Bonnici had to go to court this week rather than take care of her child and relish her marriage because her husband, Jarryd Hayne, was on trial for rape and assault. If he is found guilty, it's likely that Bonnici will have to care for their children alone for the foreseeable future.
When Jarryd Hayne officially enters confinement, his wife may have to continue living off the savings from her husband's prosperous athletic career.
While her spouse wouldn't be present in the months to come, she was questioned as to what that would imply for her and the rest of her family. She added, "I can't even put that into words."
She testified before the court that because her husband hasn't had a job since facing charges, the family has been "living off my husband's savings."
While Hayne is in detention, they will keep doing this, she claimed.
A jury at Jarryd Hayne's second hearing found him culpable; the conviction was overruled on appeal because of "profoundly wrong" legal guidance.
Jarryd Hayne believes he's innocent of the charges
The defendant, who the former NFL running back is accused of sexually assaulting, was chatting with him online for two weeks prior to September 30th, 2018, but they had not met.
Jarryd Hayne had asked the defendant to go out with him the previous evening when he was at a party, but she declined because it was all men. She then asked him instead for coffee or breakfast the following morning, according to testimony given in court.
Hayne went to the woman's house and, notwithstanding the woman's orders to "stop," forced himself on her while his cab waited outside.
According to the court, Hayne's "actions were forceful."
The prosecution asserts that after performing sexual conduct for about 30 seconds, Hayne noticed the defendant was bleeding, dressed up, and then left.
Hayne has claimed that he only had consensual sex with the defendant and that he won't rest until the truth is revealed.
Hayne's wife has made a conscious decision to demonstrate her backing for her husband by frequently going to court and clasping hands with her partner as they leave the building in front of reporters.
