Star running back Nick Chubb hobbled off the field during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, the Cleveland Browns will once again be looking for running back assistance till the end of the season.
Following the game, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski disclosed that Chubb had broken his foot and would not be playing again this season.
Chubb has established himself as one of the NFL's top running backs when healthy. In four of his first five campaigns in the league, he carried for more than 1,000 yards, and in 2022, he had a career-high 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns.
But since last season, the 28-year-old running back has struggled with severe physical conditions. He first suffered a ruptured MCL and a damaged ACL, which caused his 2023 season to be cut short prematurely and his 2024 campaign to start later than usual.

Now, for the second consecutive year, Chubb won't finish the season because of another injury.
Behind Chubb, the Browns don't have adequate depth at running back, but Jerome Ford is expected to be the next man up.
Chubb's injury, according to Ford, gives him a lot of desire to play harder and have a strong season finale. He did a great job in Chubb's place, scoring a 62-yard touchdown against Kansas City on Sunday in the second half.
D'Onta Foreman, who might now be promoted to the active roster this week, is another running back the Browns could use.
Nick Chubb's injury update: What happened to the Browns RB?
Nick Chubb made his season debut for the Cleveland Browns in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals. He recorded 11 rushes for 22 yards and a touchdown in that game.
Eight weeks after his season debut, Chubb played his last game of the season against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15. After suffering a foot injury early in the game, he returned on crutches.
Although the exact moment the former second-round pick may have hurt his leg on Sunday is unknown, a replay of the TV program suggests it may have happened during a play early in the second half. He was considered questionable to return to the field a number of plays later, but he never did.
Kevin Stefanski has not yet declared whether Chubb would require surgery for his broken foot, but he said the injury will keep him out of action for the remainder of the season.
The former Georgia Bulldog has recorded 102 rushes this season, gaining 332 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, he has five receptions for 31 yards and another touchdown.
