Cooper Manning is the oldest of the second generation of the Manning family, a family that has given the NFL some of its most famous moments. Cooper was, in more ways than one, the outlier of the three Manning brothers, and we are about to tell you why.
Cooper is an American businessman who's the host of the television show The Manning Hour for Fox Sports, and principal and senior managing director of investor relations for AJ Capital Partners.
Before Cooper started his business career, the oldest Manning brother was catching touchdown passes from none other than Peyton Manning at Isidore Newman School, and then at the University of Mississippi.

In Isidore Newman School, Cooper was a gem of a prospect. The stud was named All-State after a 1,000-plus-yard season, and he looked set to follow in his dad's footsteps by being a part of the NFL.
Did Cooper Manning play in the NFL?
However, Cooper Manning did not play a single football snap in college or the NFL, as the former highly-ranked prospect was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, a spinal canal narrowing.
This diagnosis was heartbreaking for Cooper and the entire Manning family, as it signaled the end of any chance he had of playing in the NFL. If he had taken any more snaps, he might have been paralyzed, so that was the end of the professional dream for the big brother.
However, such is the closeness of the Manning brothers that Cooper called Peyton Manning before he started his Hall of Fame career and made him promise to give his all. Peyton did, Eli followed through as well, and as they say, the rest is history.
Who are Cooper Manning's kids?
Cooper Manning is married to a beautiful wife by the name of Ellen. Together, the Mannings have three children, two boys, Arch and Heid, who both play football. Their daughter goes by the name May and is a volleyball-playing standout initially at the Academy of the Sacred Heart and now at the University of Virginia.
Manning's most famous offspring is, no doubt, Arch Manning, the top-ranked pro-style quarterback prospect in the class of 2023, according to many drafting agencies.
Arch played in Isidore like his dad, uncles, and granddad. The nation-beater then spurned the offers of some of football's biggest amateur programs to take the starting quarterback role at the University of Texas.
The upcoming NCAA season will certainly be interesting, as fingers are crossed that the NFL is about to be introduced to yet another all-star prospect from the superstar-producing Manning family tree.
