Gardner Minshew grabbed headlines on Thursday after becoming the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16. Minshew will replace the injured Jalen Hurts for the Eagles' Sunday matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
NFL fans are now curious to learn more about Gardner's personal life, especially his dad, Flint Minshew. Flint and Gardner have always been a dynamic duo, and their relationship has always been in the limelight.
Flint has always supported his son and has often given him guidance over the years. He is a proud father and has attended his son's games regularly since Gardner was in high school.

While speaking to SB Nation in 2019, Flint recalled the precious advice he gave his son during his growing-up years. He said:
“I told Gardner you’ll never be the biggest, the tallest, the fastest, the strongest, but you can literally outwork anybody. And he took to that at a young age"
Although his son currently plays as a quarterback in the NFL, Flint played defensive end at Millsaps College in the early 1990s. By his own admission, he is in the team's Hall of Fame.
Flint still keeps himself extremely fit. He still lifts weights regularly and has a vigorous workout routine. As per reports, Flint worked as a contractor after graduating from college.
Gardner Minshew's stats in 2022-23 NFL season
Gardner Minshew will take center stage for the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16. Although the quarterback will make his first start of the season, he has featured in three games for the team this campaign.
The 26-year-old had cameos against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, the Tennessee Titans in Week 13, and the New York Giants in Week 14. However, he has managed only 34 passing yards on two attempts.
Minshew will hope to get his first touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. If he leads his team to victory, the Eagles will secure their NFC East divisional title.
