The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to face the Carolina Panthers in Week 15 of the 2022-23 NFL season. After much speculation, the visitors have decided to field Mitch Trubisky for Sunday's game at Bank of America Stadium.
Trubisky will play his sixth game this season, replacing rookie Kenny Pickett. Pickett left during the Steelers' Week 14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens due to concussion protocol. He was listed as a limited participant in practice during the course of the week building up to the clash against the Panthers.
Trubisky replaced Pickett in the game against the Ravens, throwing for 276 yards and one touchdown along with three interceptions. However, he was still picked ahead of Mason Rudolph for Week 15.

Trubisku and Rudolph split first-team reps during practice throughout the week. Rudolph will be Pittsburgh's backup and will be active for the first time this season.
Meanwhile, Trubisky has a 1-3 record while starting for the Steelers and has thrown for 1,073 yards and four touchdowns with five interceptions. His best game of the season came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in October. Trubisky completed nine of his 12 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown to get the Steelers over the line.
