Christian Ponder was born in Dallas, Texas, on February 25, 1988, and played as a quarterback in college football for Florida State. After impressing as a collegiate, Ponder was picked up by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2011 NFL Draft.

He spent four seasons with the Vikings before joining the Oakland Raiders in March 2015. In November 2015, Ponder signed for the Denver Broncos. The following year, he played for the San Francisco 49ers before hanging up his cleats in 2016.

In total, Christian Ponder racked up 6,658 passing yards and threw for 38 touchdowns during his NFL career. Since his retirement, he has been able to spend more quality time with his wife and kids.
