In their next playoff game, the 49ers will face the Dallas Cowboys. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET. on Sunday (January 22) at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Brock Purdy will once again start under center.

Trey Lance was placed on injured reserve after a season-ending right ankle injury in the Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Backup quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, took up the starting role and played the next 10 games for the 49ers.

In the Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins, Garoppolo broke his foot and has been sidelined since. Brock Purdy was thrust into the spotlight and started the next five games, finishing the regular season with a 5-0 record.

He will now face the Cowboys in the divisional round. A matchup against the Cowboys won't be easy as their defense ranks eighth in passing yards allowed per game.
