Who are Tee Higgins' parents, Eric Higgins and Lady Stewart?

Tee Higgins is in his third NFL season with the Cincinnati Bengals. The young wide receiver has made a name for himself in the last few years, steadily improving his game. However, his past and personal life have mostly remained private and under wraps.

While Higgins has spoken up about his mother a few times, the 23-year-old is yet to openly talk about his father, Eric Higgins. The Bengals star was born to Eric Higgins and Lady Stewart on January 18, 1999, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

However, as per reports, Higgins' parents separated when he was quite young. Considering Higgins was living with his mother, Lady Camilla Stewart, he grew closer to her.

Higgins has often shared photos with his mother online, writing sweet captions for her. That being said, Higgins apparently met his father during the Super Bowl in 2022. His mother was also in the stands supporting him.

Further, other reports add that his father passed away in August 2022. Taking his privacy into account, Higgins did not speak much about the incident.

He did, however, post on Instagram. While the caption was short, he referred to Eric as his 'OG':

"OG!!!! Rest Easy! Love you pops," Higgins wrote.

According to Higgins, his mom being there for the Super Bowl was a surreal moment, especially after the nightmare they had lived. Surviving her cocaine addiction and a bullet to the head, Higgins' mother's presence was a Super Bowl miracle.

In a conversation with the New York Post, his mother revealed how excited she was to be there for her son:

“I’m so excited to go see him play,” Camilla Stewart said, “and on the stage that he’s playing on. I’ve always watched it growing up, wishing that I could go to one of those games, and to know that my son is playing in a game like this? It’s surreal."

Tee Higgins was just as emotional. The mother-son duo had dreamed of the Super Bowl, unaware that the WR would actually go there at such a young age.

“This is something we dreamed of,” he said, “just having her here, especially after everything that she’s been through, everything I went through with her.”

They added that while his mother was unwell, his father Eric and aunts looked after him. Her behavior affected Tee Higgins, who struggled to see his mom suffering. His mom explained that she knew Higgins' father her entire life, and was clean when they were together (around four years).

Later, when they broke up, she ended up relapsing.

While still addicted to cocaine, her drug dealer and boyfriend ended up shooting her in the head. She survived and eventually got her life back together.
