Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers is on the decline. That much is obvious, as he and the Packers have struggled to get much going on offense all season long.
Rodgers lost his number one receiver, Davante Adams, in a trade during the 2022 NFL offseason. Thus far, he’s struggled to make much of a connection with his new wideouts.
Despite this, there are plenty of reasons he’s on the decline and his performances are being affected as a result.

#1 - Increased interceptions
One of Aaron Rodgers' best attributes is his ability to take care of the football. He won back-to-back NFL MVPs in 2020 and 2021, as he threw just five and four picks respectively in those seasons.
However, through just 10 games this year, he’s already thrown seven interceptions, including three in a recent loss to the Detroit Lions.
Rodgers may still be trying to adjust to life without Davante Adams, or it could be possible that age is finally catching up with the 38-year-old.
#2 - Aaron Rodgers struggles to put up wins
In recent years, Aaron Rodgers has been able to help the Packers win games on his own at times. They've won at least 13 games in each of the last three seasons and a lot of their victories have come down to the veteran's talent.
However, through 10 weeks of the 2022 NFL season, they sit at a measly 4-6 and a long way off the Minnesota Vikings (8-1) in the NFC North.
Perhaps Rodgers' powers are fading, as it’s clear he’s not able to single-handedly keep Green Bay in games anymore.
#3 - Declining passer rating
In 2022, Aaron Rodgers has put up his worst passer rating since 2015 at just 93.0.
This compares poorly to his back-to-back MVP seasons, where he put up 121.5 in 2020 and 111.9 last season.
His quarterback rating so far this season is just 39.6, which puts him 25th among eligible quarterbacks. Considering the fact that there are only 32 starters in the NFL, you realize how poor his performances have been.
Rodgers has statistically been playing some of his worst football since being drafted by the Packers back in 2005. Many have thus questioned how much of a future the 38-year-old has in the league.
