Why did Fox switch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL football game on Sunday?

The NFL is one of America's favorite leagues, if not the most famous. The NFL ensures that its players are adequately compensated for their efforts, as they are well paid. One way for the league to make money is by broadcasting, and the NFL has three major broadcasters. CBS, Fox, and NBC are the three broadcasting giants that air NFL games. Over time, interesting things have happened on live television, with the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers headlining Sunday Night Football.

However, Fox turned off coverage from the Tampa and San Francisco games during the matchup to the network's main feed. The Bucs trailed 35-0 with a mere ten minutes to play in the third quarter. This is the first time that a Tom Brady-led team has faced such ignominy. Fox's act was because the game ceased to be competitive and the network felt that viewers could be kept more busy viewing something less demoralizing.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had only themselves to blame for the blowout, as neither the offense nor defense came to the party. Fingers crossed, Brady and the crew will perform better in the postseason.

How are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers performing this NFL season?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a rather inconsistent 2022 season, with the former Super Bowl champs never getting up to speed. The team is still stacked with offensive icons, and they do not look bad defensively on paper. The Bucs sit at 6-7 entering Week 15 of the 2022 season.

Despite their substandard performances this season, the Bucs are still on course to qualify for the playoffs. This is based on their number-one position in the NFC South division. They are currently on the table above the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, and Carolina Panthers. It will be a huge surprise if the Buccaneers don't make the playoffs in Tom Brady's likely last season with the team.

Is this Tom Brady's last NFL season?

Tom Brady is having a tipsy-turvy third season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It would be an understatement to say that the GOAT is struggling, as his team is teetering on the brink of losing their playoff berth. Tom Brady has not been himself this season, and external factors aren't helping.

Brady has racked up a stat line of 3,585 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 13 games this season.
