Kansas City Chiefs QB and NFL MVP Award favorite Patrick Mahomes will not participate in the 2023 Pro Bowl due to his Super Bowl commitments.
Late in the regular season, the Texas Tech alum was selected as a starter for the AFC Conference in the Super Bowl, but he and other Kansas City Chiefs players won't be playing in the Pro Bowl.
Mahomes and his teammates at Kansas City are preparing for a date with the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. It would be risky to partake in the Super Bowl festivities.
This Pro Bowl selection is the fifth of Mahomes' illustrious career, and he is a betting favorite to win the NFL MVP Award for the second time. Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars has been selected to replace Mahomes in the Pro Bowl, giving the Clemson University legend the first Pro Bowl appearance of his young career.

How did Patrick Mahomes perform this season?
Patrick Mahomes is arguably the best American football player, and he proved just that in the 2022 NFL regular season. The Kansas City Chiefs' shot caller was amazing all year and elevated his side every time he stepped on the Gridiron.
Mahomes tossed touchdown passes to Travis Kelce, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and JuJu Smith-Schuster. He also dispelled the notion that he couldn't be a game-changer without having Tyreek Hill in his offensive arsenal.
The player led the Chiefs to an AFC Conference Championship with a 14-3 record, the joint-best record in the NFL (along with the Eagles) and also led the league in most quarterback statistical categories, such as touchdowns, passing yards, and QBR.
He did so with a stat line of 5,250 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 17 games.
Patrick Mahomes' Fantasy Production for 2022
Patrick Mahomes was the highest point scorer in the entirety of the NFL Fantasy League. The Texas Tech alum was in his bag all season long, posting a startling average of 25.20 points per game.
He was helped by having the league's best tight end, Travis Kelce, to throw to along with a coaching mastermind, Andy Reid, leading his team. Mahomes was a favorite for fantasy managers worldwide, as the MVP favorite was rostered by 99% of the league.
The future Hall of Famer has one more task this season, next Sunday's trip to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. In a dream matchup for fantasy enthusiasts, he will be coming up against fellow fantasy stud Jalen Hurts.
May the best team win!
