Will Levis was supposed to be the new face of the Tennessee Titans, who drafted him 33rd overall in the 2023 draft. He took over as the starter midway through that season and went 3-6, finishing with 1,080 passing yards and twice as many touchdowns (eight) as interceptions (4) and 25 rushing attempts for 57 yards and a touchdown.

2024 was supposed to be his breakout and breakthrough, especially with a monstrous arsenal of Tony Pollard, DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Tyler Boyd, and Chig Okonkwo. But the initial proceedings have been rough, with the team losing its first three games for a 1-4 start.

That is not the worst part, however. Levis currently leads the league in turnovers (10) and has had at least one in every game. He is also dealing with a shoulder injury, which has prompted head coach Brian Callahan to make a change.

Will Levis benched for Mason Rudolph ahead of Titans' Week 7 matchup vs. Bills

On Saturday, the Titans announced that they would be starting Mason Rudolph against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The reasoning was that Will Levis would be inactive because of the right shoulder injury that he had sustained during the lopsided MNF win at the Miami Dolphins. It had been hampering him during practice beforehand.

He had exited that game with only three completions for 25 yards and an interception. Rudolph was only marginally better, completing nine passes for 85 yards; however, kicker Nick Folk (five field goals) and running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears (127 yards and 2 touchdowns on 37 carries combined) led the scoring onslaught.

Could Titans be on the hunt for a quarterback in 2025 Draft?

All those struggles have had The Draft Network's Keith Sanchez predicting that general manager Ran Carthon will end the WIll Levis era early and go for a quarterback in 2025. He writes:

"The Will Levis experiment has been frustrating, to say the least, and it appears that most people are ready to move on."

And he has one person in mind:

"With that being the case, the Titans go with Quinn Ewers, a highly accurate quarterback who has a ton of playing experience and appears to fit what new head coach Brian Callahan wants to do with timing and anticipation. This combination has the chance to be a good one for many years to come."

Other prospects Carthon may consider are Cam Ward, Carson Beck, and Shedeur Sanders.
