Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs had another successful season that ended with him making his second Pro Bowl season. But off the field, he is facing a lawsuit from a former landlord.
Diggs apparently rented a home in Frisco, Texas for $5,500 a month and signed a one year lease in March 2022. The landlord, Rose Marie Yadegar, claims (in a lawsuit filed recently) that the Cowboys cornerback paid just the first month's rent and nothing afterwards. In July 2022, he was forced to move out due to unpaid rent.
In the lawsuit (filed in Denton County, Texas), Yadegar is asking for $33,500 in unpaid rent along with the final two months of the lease. She seeks $3,400 in damages, $45.45 for bi-weekly lawncare and carpet cleaning that cost $531.15 because the carpets were soiled beyond belief.

Trevon Diggs' attorney Scott Becker released a statement on the cornerback's behalf after the lawsuit was filed. He said that this was just a misunderstanding and he believed that the matter was already taken care of.
"He thought this matter was completely resolved. So, to have this situation arise out of the blue was a bit of a shock to him.
"We certainly feel badly for her if that's the case that there's damage to the property. My client didn't cause that damage and we look forward to working it out with her. You become a target for things and that may be happening here."
Becker went on to say that Diggs didn't cause the damage to the property and while he feels for the landlord, he believes that he is being targeted because he is famous.
There is sure to be more regarding this case in the days to come.
What is Trevon Diggs net worth?
The Dallas Cowboys drafted cornerback Trevon Diggs in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Alabama. He initially signed a four-year contract worth $6,320,907 and is due to make $4.3 million in the 2023 NFL season.
So far in his career, he has made $5 million in his first three seasons just from the National Football League. His net worth could be a bit higher than that due to endorsements and other brand deals.
The Dallas Cowboys are likely to work on a contract extension with the cornerback this offseason before he begins playing in the final year of his current contract. With his performances on the field and two consecutive Pro Bowl appearances, Dallas should offer him a rather lucrative contract.
