Tyreek Hill is one of the most important pieces of the Miami Dolphins offense. The eight-time Pro Bowler is entering his third season in Miami and will be poised to put up big numbers catching passes from Tua Tagovailoa.
According to the Associated Press, Tyreek Hill will not play in tonight’s preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a thumb injury. Hill sustained the setback earlier in the preseason, and it kept him out of drills during Wednesday’s joint practice with the Bucs.

How to watch: Miami Dolphins vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Miami Dolphins will look to end their preseason in style against fellow postseason hopefuls, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams made the playoffs in 2024, thanks to impressive play from their Pro Bowler quarterbacks and wide receivers. Their fans will be hoping for more of the same in the upcoming season.

What to expect from the Dolphins in 2024?
The Miami Dolphins were one of the league's best offensive teams in 2023. The Mike McDaniel-coached franchise boasted speedsters Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert in arguably the fastest offense in the NFL. The Dolphins looked unstoppable at times, especially when Tua Tagovailoa was hitting his Pro Bowl-caliber wide receivers in stride.
However, despite the Dolphins' frantic offensive pace, they still got bounced from the playoffs in the wildcard round. The saying, "Offense wins games, while defense wins championships," comes to mind. Despite being impressive at scoring the ball, the Dolphins were just as generous in conceding points.
Miami enters 2024 with most of its 2023 core running it back. Plus, the team will have a fit Jalen Ramsey to start the season and anchor the secondary. The 2024 Dolphins should enter the year more experienced and aware of their shortcomings on the defensive side of the ball.
Entering 2024, expect the Miami Dolphins to make a push for the postseason. However, how far they would go remains anyone's guess. The franchise will need its players to figure out the pitfalls of 2023 and steer clear of them.
