Thanksgiving is an important holiday in the United States of America. Each year, families and friends come together to celebrate Thanksgiving with their favorite people. The day involves several traditions such as eating Turkey, savoring pumpkins, and the annual Thanksgiving Day NFL games.

By now, it should be common knowledge that American football is the nation's favorite sport. The NFL is more popular than basketball, hockey, and soccer. Families love some NFL action, and what better time to watch than in the company of your most loved ones?

Watching football on Thanksgiving is a very popular activity. Family and friends create the perfect vibe for a great time, especially as it's hard for most of the year to gather everyone to watch a football game. This is a day where work is put on hold and people get to bond with the ones they love most.

What better way to spend a holiday than watching the Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys and whoever they're set to play against?

This holiday has been known to produce classics, and it has been that way since it became a thing in the 20th century. We have seen inspired performances from Calvin Johnson, Peyton Manning, and Cowboys legend Tony Romo. With the lights at their brightest, players put on a display in front of millions of viewers.

What is the Thanksgiving Day schedule in the 2022 NFL season?

The 2022 season will see the following teams play on the holiday:

  • The Buffalo Bills visit the Detroit Lions with a kickoff time of 12:30 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcasted on Fox.
  • The New York Giants visit the Dallas Cowboys with a kickoff time of 4:30 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcasted on CBS.
  • The New England Patriots visit the Minnesota Vikings with a kickoff time of 8:20 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcasted on NBC.

These are some important fixtures, with all of these sides contending for the playoffs. The Bills are the early Super Bowl favorites, but are second in the AFC East. They simply have to keep winning in what is possibly the most competitive division in football. They travel to Detroit, who are on a three-game winning streak. At 4-6, their season is in jeopardy and they need to win out in order to be sure of a Wild Card spot.

The Giants and Cowboys both stand at 7-3 in the NFC East. They are both very much competing for the division, behind the impressive 9-1 Philadelphia Eagles. This one matters for both franchises and it should be a classic.

The final game sees the Patriots travel to face a shell-shocked Vikings side. Minnesota were torn apart only days ago by the Cowboys and have to put that game behind them immediately. The Patriots need a win to keep them in the race for the AFC East and the VIkings have their eye on the top seed for the NFC.

Thanksgiving looks set to be a great one in the 2022 NFL season.
