The Chicago Bears boast one of the greatest playoff records. The NFC North outfit holds the honor of scoring the most points in a playoff game. They did so when they beat Washington 73-0 in the 1940 NFL Championship game.
The Bears racked up a total of 11 touchdowns on their way to a record-breaking title triumph. It was also the first NFL title game that was broadcast nationwide on the radio.
Although records are meant to be broken, there is a very slim chance that the Bears will lose the honor of having the most points scored in a postseason matchup. As competition grows with every passing year, teams tend to avoid errors as well.

With better coaching, equipment, and gear, there is a rare possibility that a team could suffer such a crushing defeat again. It also leaves a small margin for the opposition to rack up points against any NFL team.
The second-most points scored in a playoff game was in 2000, when the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Miami Dolphins 62-7. The Detroit Lions take third place on the list, thanks to their 59-14 win over the Cleveland Browns in 1959.
How did the Chicago Bears fare in the 2022-23 NFL season?
The Bears had one of their worst seasons in the NFL this term. Matt Eberflus' side finished fourth in the NFC North with a 3-14 record. Their victories came against the San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, and New England Patriots.
However, there were some positives to carry forward as quarterback Justin Fields showed that he has the skill and ability to lead the franchise in the near future. He finished his second season in the NFL with 2,242 passing yards and 17 touchdowns. He also added an impressive 1,143 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
