CeeDee Lamb's contract extension was finally set in stone on Monday, August 25, as the Dallas Cowboys made their star playmaker the second-highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.
Lamb's deal also includes a $38 million signing bonus, the largest ever doled out to a wide receiver. The Cowboys have clearly opened their wallets to make sure their WR1 stays in town despite negotiations dragging well past training camp.
Fantasy football managers can also rest assured after the deal, considering Lamb is easily in Tier 1 among fantasy football WRs this year.

Will CeeDee Lamb play in Week 1?
Now that the Cowboys have officially agreed a deal with Lamb, he will suit up in Week 1 alongside Brandin Cooks, Jalen Tolbert and the rest of the WRs on their depth chart.
The Cowboys open Week 1 in Cleveland against the Browns in what will also be Tom Brady's first official NFL game in the Fox broadcasting booth. The seven-time Super Bowl champion signed a $375 million deal with Fox spanning 10 years to grace the broadcasting booth.
NFL's highest-paid WRs after CeeDee Lamb's contract extension
The NFL's highest-paid WRs list will see a little bit of a shakeup after CeeDee Lamb's contract extension. Despite Lamb's extension, he is still the second-highest-paid non-QB in NFL history with an average annual value of $34 million.
Which NFL WRs are in line to get paid after CeeDee Lamb's contract extension?
The top two names on this list will undoubtedly be Brandon Aiyuk, whose trade request still hasn't developed into a move away from San Francisco, and Ja'Marr Chase, who will, in all likelihood, suit up for the Cincinnati Bengals as they aim for a Super Bowl run with a healthy Joe Burrow.
When it comes to Aiyuk, the Niners may not be the destination he gets paid at after all, with the Washington Commanders and the Pittsburgh Steelers still reportedly interested in a trade as we head into Week 1.
Dallas Cowboys' NFL schedule in the spotlight
With Lamb's contract extension done, the Cowboys can now turn their attention to how they go up against the Cleveland Browns, who will likely boast one of the league's meanest defenses this year.
Dallas will then face the Saints, Ravens, Giants, Steelers and Lions, before settling into Week 7, which is a bye week for the franchise.
