Will Josh Allen play today against the Patriots? Bills QB fantasy outlook ahead of TEAM showdown in Week 18

Buffalo Bills v Chicago Bears
Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills waves to fans after the game against the Chicago Bears

Josh Allen had a complete workout session the day before, but on Thursday, he was reduced to a limited session. There is currently no cause for concern over his fitness for Week 18's game against the New England Patriots. Allen has been on the receiving end of hits throughout the season, yet he hasn't missed a single game.

Josh Allen did not receive an injury tag for today's outing against the New England Patriots and fully participated in Friday's training. His ability to play in today's game, where the Buffalo Bills have a chance to earn home-ground advantage in the playoffs with a win, never seemed to worry the team.

No starting player in the Buffalo Bills' 53-man squad has an injury status for the contest, so Allen will still have access to his entire arsenal. The Buffalo Bills won't have to worry about benching starters as they are directly competing for an AFC playoff spot with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Josh Allen is still in the race to be the MVP

Josh Allen has been a beast in fantasy football, scoring at least 30 points on seven occasions this season. He has been the model of a dual-threat quarterback, completing passes for at least 300 yards in six games while also rushing for at least 40 yards and making it into the end zone in 11 of them.

The Buffalo Bills have been indifferent to the many unanswered questions about other franchises and their motives this week. The Bills have a potent offense playing against a defensive unit that they have worked out, so we understand that they will play as a team. The game has additional stakes as Allen wants to perform well to strengthen his case for MVP.

In Week 16, Allen led the Buffalo Bills to a 35-13 victory over the Chicago Bears while completing 15 of his 26 throws for 172 yards, two scores, and two interceptions. Along with scoring another touchdown on six rushes for 41 yards, he also fumbled once, which he recovered.
