First of all, he is now the starter so he will have more reps in training camp and he should be ready to go. Secondly, with Brian Callahan as the head coach, he has a mentor who has experience as an offensive coordinator and is known for developing quarterbacks.

On the flip side, he will have to take up a leadership role in the team in just his second year in the league. That is a tough ask for any young player. In addition to that, he will not have Derrick Henry behind him. Tony Pollard is a fine running back but he is not as good as his predecessor.
