A key player who could potentially have been a part of the Aaron Rodgers trade package has been sent elsewhere. Former New York Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore is now with the Cleveland Browns.
The pass catcher had frustrations with Zach Wilson last year and will now move on to play with Deshaun Watson.
Still, the Rodgers deal remains in limbo. The Green Bay Packers reportedly want a pretty sizable return for their quarterback and the Jets don't want to pay so much for a player that doesn't want to be in Green Bay and that the Packers want to move on from.

It's very likely to happen, but that's the reason it hasn't yet. The Jets and Packers will have to meet in the middle, which could have involved a player of Moore's caliber.
Since he's gone, what might a compromise look like?
Without Elijah Moore, here's what a Jets-Packers Aaron Rodgers trade could look like
The Packers reportedly want a first-round pick as the basis of the Aaron Rodgers deal and the Jets want no part of that. What is likely to happen is that the Jets will pay more than they want, but the Packers will also get less than what they want.
A first-round pick is probably out of the question, but a second isn't. The Jets could send the 43rd overall pick to Green Bay and attach a player of Moore's caliber like Corey Davis or Tyler Conklin.
They could also drop the pick and add a better player. They shipped their third-round pick to the Browns in the Moore trade, but they have the 112th pick in the fourth round.
112 and Michael Carter would probably entice the Packers, though another low-round pick (perhaps the 207th or a future pick) might be necessary.
The Jets drafted Breece Hall and he exploded onto the scene, making Carter a bit more expendable. They also have Zonovan Knight, who played well last year. The running back room is a bit crowded and Carter would be a nice piece for the Packers or another team.
The trade is eventually going to get done. It's not going to be what the Packers want or what the Jets want, but that's usually how these trades go. Aaron Rodgers has already said goodbye to Green Bay and that he "intends" to play for the Jets next year.
Whether he'll be acquired by a big haul or something less out of desperation remains to be seen.
