Ertz did not practice on Wednesday due to a rib injury, but the Commanders also outlined that they wanted to give the player a rest. Washington will host practice sessions on Thursday and Friday as well before traveling to face Philadelphia. It will be interesting to see whether Ertz can practice on those two days and in what capacity.
The Eagles selected Ertz in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. He played over nine seasons in Philly, earning three Pro Bowl honors and winning the Super Bowl in 2018.
