One of the younger quarterbacks in football currently, Zach Wilson is looking to set his name on the National Football League. Born in Draper, Utah, Wilson's career started at Corner Canyon High School as a high school prospect.

From there, he originally committed to play quarterback at Boise State University. However, he instead chose to attend Brigham Young University. In college, Wilson was a solid player. However, in the 2020 season, he exploded, starting all 12 games and breaking the school completion percentage with 73.5%. His phenomenal play led him to win the 2020 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award.

Due to his exceptional play in his final college season, the New York Jets drafted him second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, those expectations haven't panned out as Wilson has struggled through his first two seasons and was even named a third-string quarterback in his sophomore campaign.

With the Jets trading for Aaron Rodgers, it seems unlikely that Wilson's role will improve.

What is Zach Wilson’s Height?

Zachary Kapono Wilson was born on August 3rd, 1999 in Draper, Utah. I want to Michael and Lisa Wilson, Zachary has a Hawaiian Heritage with his middle name meaning “righteous”. Zach Wilson has a recorded height of 6 feet and 2 inches or 1.88 meters. This height is slightly less than the average height of quarterbacks in the NFL. As a result, it has hindered the youngster’s play in the NFL. Due to the lag of a vision above the defense, Wilson has been prone to interceptions and boasts a low completion percentage.

As a consequence of the disadvantages his height gives him, Wilson hasn't been able to reach the heights that his second overall selection suggested he would. Instead, within just two seasons, the Jets seem to be done with him and have opted to go forward with an older Aaron Rodgers.

With Rodgers’ first season with New York set to begin. Wilson will look to re-establish himself in the lineup.

What is Zach Wilson’s Weight?

Adding to his problems is his relatively small frame. Zach Wilson has a recorded weight of 214 pounds or 97 kgs. This weight is also slightly lesser than the average weight of quarterbacks in the NFL, which stands at just a shade under 220 pounds. As a result, it has hindered Wilson's progress as a rusher.

As a combined consequence of disadvantages provided by his height and weight. Wilson has found it extremely difficult to take off in the NFL with other athletes around him who are bigger and stronger than him. It becomes a big problem, whether it's passing or rushing, for him to succeed as a quarterback.

Under the tutelage of Rodgers, who has just joined the Jets camp, perhaps Zach can find the momentum that made him a high draft pick in the NFL.
