Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss suffered a serious ankle injury on Sunday during a Week 5 home game against the Baltimore Ravens. However, Mike Garafolo of NFL Media provided good news concerning him on Monday.
One day after the game, Garafolo posted on his X account:
"Bengals RB Zack Moss (ankle) is believed to be OK, sources say. Seems to be mostly a scare, got twisted in an awkward way, went back to the game, and left again.”
Zack Moss, who joined the Bengals this offseason after the departure of Joe Mixon, has been the team's lead running back this season alongside Chase Brown.

Moss has recorded 57 carries in five games, compared to Brown’s 41. The 26-year-old running back ranks fifth among his teammates in targets with 19, and he has also amassed 211 yards with two touchdowns on the ground. Additionally, he has one touchdown and 124 yards through the air.
The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday. While that may not fully reveal to fantasy managers if Moss will play in Week 6, it will give them an idea of how serious the injury he sustained against the Ravens was.
The Bengals' NFL schedule for Week 6 is a road game against the New York Giants. Given that it's a Sunday Night Football game, Moss may have a bit more time to get back to 100%.
Trayveon Williams and Chase Brown are expected to split the work in the Bengals' backfield against the Giants if Moss misses out.
Zack Moss injury update: What happened to the Bengals' RB?
Running back Zach Moss was hurt in the fourth quarter of the Cincinnati Bengals' thrilling Week 5 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Moss was tackled on a three-yard run late in the second half of the game and stayed on the ground due to discomfort in his ankle.
Luckily, Moss was able to leave the field on his own without assistance. He returned to the game later, but his involvement was limited after that injury scare.
Moss finished the game with three receptions for 28 yards and nine rushes for 24 yards.
The Bengals will probably continue to keep an eye on Zack Moss' foot over the coming days, but according to NFL Media's Mike Garafolo, the ailment is more of a scare than a serious concern and it's unlikely to keep the former Indianapolis Colts running back from playing against the New York Giants in Week 6.
