Macklin Celebrini, born on June 13, 2006, is a Canadian college ice hockey center for the Boston University Terriers in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). In his freshman season at Boston University, he won the Hobey Baker Award, becoming the youngest player ever to receive the honor and also became the fourth freshman to win the award, after Paul Kariya, Jack Eichel and Adam Fantilli. Due to these feats, Celebrini is considered as one of the biggest draft prospects in 2024 with a possibility of hem getting picked by the San Jose Sharks

During his freshman year with the Terriers in 2023-24, Celebrini recorded 32 goals and 32 assists across 38 games for a total of 64 points. Following this impressive season, he was named as Hockey East Player of the Year, Hockey East Rookie of the Year, Hockey East Scoring Champion and received the Hockey East Three-Stars Award. Furthermore, he represents Canada on the international level and has won a bronze medal with them.

He is also the co-founder and partner at the Fortius Institute and a senior leader at Fortius Sport & Health. He also served the Vancouver Canucks, where was appointed director of rehabilitation and oversaw injury prevention and rehabilitation protocols.

Throughout his career, Dr. Celebrini has worked with numerous high-profile professionals and Olympic athletes while also consulting organizations such as the Canadian Soccer Association, Canadian Alpine Ski Team, NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, NBA's Dallas Mavericks, and the NHL Players’ Association. Remarkably, Dr. Celebrini has served as the manager of medical services and chief therapist for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and was part of the Canadian medical team for two additional Olympic games.

Dr. Celebrini's academic background includes studying arts and sciences at Capilano University between 1985-1987, where he also excelled as an athlete, helping Capilano’s soccer team achieve third place in the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association Soccer Championship. He continued his studies at UBC, where he played for five seasons with the UBC Thunderbirds, winning four consecutive Canadian soccer championships. He also competed with the national U20 soccer team at the 1987 FIFA World Youth. Lastly, he obtained his Ph.D in rehabilitation sciences from the faculty of Medicine at UBC in 2007.
