Adrian San Miguel del Castillo: A Brief Biography
Adrian San Miguel del Castillo, better known as Adrian or simply Adri, is a Spanish footballer from Seville who is the goalkeeper for club Real Betis. A former product of Real Betis youth academy, Adrián spent his first four senior seasons with the reserves, three of those in the third division, successively backing up René and Ghanaian Brimah Razak. He came up the ranks to the subsidiary categories and played his debut match in the pre-season of 2011-12 against Olympique de Marseille. He made his La Liga debut on 29 September 2012, in a 0–4 away loss against Málaga CF. In the 80 minutes he played, he blocked four goals from Malaga, rendering his performance remarkable. On November 9 2011, following an injury in a match against Ceuta Sports Association, he was kept out of the game for nearly six months. He bounced back the folloing season 2012-13 playing in the first team.
