American professional baseball utility player Jeff McNeil was born on April 8, 1992. He plays for the New York Mets. On July 24, 2018, he made his Major League debut with the New York Mets. The New York Mets picked McNeil in the twelfth round of the Major League Baseball 2013 draft.

Following his signing, McNeil made his professional debut with the Kingsport Mets, playing in 47 games and hitting .329. With the St. Lucie and Binghamton Mets in 123 games in 2015, he slashed .308/.369/.377 with 40 RBIs, 16 stolen bases, and one home run.
