Seamus Power's Early Life and Background

Irish PGA golfer Seamus Power was born on March 4, 1987, in Waterford, Ireland. Raised on the family farm, he lost his mother, Philomena, when he was eight years old. Ned, his father, raised him along with his two brothers. Power started playing golf at the age of eleven, and Ned took on a second job to help pay the bills.

After graduating from high school in 2006, Seamus, who played golf for his team, attempted to enroll in a college in America. He had sent letters to American colleges but had received no positive reply.
