He was a member of the All-Pro team with his older brother Sterling by 1993. The younger Sharpe would soon forge his own path, eventually taking the receiving lead six times for the Denver Broncos and once for the Baltimore Ravens. Shannon Sharpe’s Teams
Denver Broncos (1990-1999 and 2002-2003)
It was during his 9 seasons playing for the Broncos that Sharpe’s career took off as a tight end footballer. He had started playing as a wide receiver. After an uneventful couple of seasons, the club switched his playing position to the tight end. This move was instrumental in Sharpe’s overall NFL successes. He spent his 12 non-consecutive seasons with Denver, where he was chosen for four first-team All-Pro teams, seven consecutive Pro Bowls, and two Super Bowl championships.
Baltimore Ravens (2000-2001)
He caught a short pass on third down and 18 from his own four-yard line in the Ravens' 16-3 victory over the Oakland Raiders in the 2000 AFC championship game. It was the only touchdown the Ravens scored in that game. This will still stand as the Ravens' longest offensive play ever as of 2022. Sharpe also pulled in a pass of at least 50 yards in each of their previous two playoff games. Sharpe played for the Baltimore Ravens for two seasons, during which time he was selected for his eighth Pro Bowl and captured a third Super Bowl victory.
