Born on October 30, 1999, Vivrant Sharma is an Indian cricket player who plays domestic cricket for Jammu & Kashmir. With his aggressive batting style, he became well-known during the 2022–2023 Vijay Hazare Trophy, emerging as his team's highest scorer. Throughout the competition, he scored 395 runs at an outstanding average of 56.42.

On November 4, 2021, Vivrant made his T20 debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His steady play earned him a significant break in 2023 when Sunrisers Hyderabad selected him for ₹2.6 crore, 13 times his base price, at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. He had been their net bowler before to being acquired by the squad. But in November 2023, after just one season, Sunrisers Hyderabad let him go.

In domestic cricket, Vivrant Sharma is an exciting new player from India who plays for Jammu & Kashmir. He was born in Jammu on October 30, 1999, and his age in the IPL 2023 was 23. Sharma is renowned for his all-around skills; he is a superb left-arm leg-break bowler and bats left-handed.

On February 21, 2021, Sharma played in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Jammu & Kashmir, making his List A debut. Later, on November 4, 2021, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he made his Twenty20 debut. His exploits attracted notice right away, particularly in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he amassed 395 runs at an astounding average of 56.42 in the 2022 season. His performance against Uttarakhand, where he struck an incredible 154 off 124 balls to propel his team into the knockout stages, was particularly noteworthy. Vivrant Sharma started his domestic career on 21 February 2021 in the Vijay Hazare tournament of List A format, where he impressed everyone by scoring a brilliant half-century in his first match.

In 2021, Vivrant Sharma was unable to play many matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, due to which no one saw his batting prowess, but the very next year, in the 2022 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he became the second highest run scorer for Jammu and Kashmir, scoring 395 runs in eight matches at an average of 56.42, in which he scored a century and two half-centuries. After this, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy held next year, Vivrant Sharma once again impressed everyone, scoring 313 runs in 6 matches at an average of 52.5, in which he scored a century and a half-century and this year Vivrant Sharma was also the highest run scorer for Jammu and Kashmir.

Vivrant Sharma has so far scored 837 runs in 22 matches in the List A format at an average of 39.85 and a strike rate of 94.57, in which two centuries and four half-centuries have come off his bat.

Vivrant made his debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy against Andhra Pradesh on 4 November 2021. Vivrant Sharma, who was dismissed for just eight runs in his first match, scored 128 runs in five matches in the 2022 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at an average of 32 and a strike rate of 145.45, in which two half-centuries came off his bat.

The year 2022 proved to be the biggest milestone in Vivrant Sharma's domestic career, where he made his first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh on 13 December 2022. In his first match, Vivrant Sharma scored just 34 runs off 66 balls. Vivrant Sharma played seven Ranji Trophy matches in 2023 in which he scored 281 runs at an average of 31.022, in which he scored a century and a half-century. Vivrant Sharma has played 14 first-class matches so far in which he has scored 545 runs in 21 innings at an average of 27.25.

Vivrant Sharma IPL Career

Vivrant Sharma's IPL career started in the 2023 IPL where he was included in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team for Rs 2.6 crore. For the first time, Sunrisers Hyderabad included Vivrant Sharma in the playing XI against Rajasthan Royals on 7th May 2023, but Vivrant Sharma did not get to bat in that match. Similarly, despite being included in the playing XI once again at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium against Lucknow Supergiants on 13th May 2023, Vivrant Sharma could not make his IPL debut.

Finally, this opportunity came on 21st May 2023 when Vivrant Sharma was sent as an opening batsman against Mumbai Indians and he surprised everyone in his IPL debut match by batting impressively at a strike rate of 146.81 off 47 balls at the Wankhede Stadium.

However, after this one match, Vivrant Sharma has not had the opportunity to play any IPL match till now. Vivrant Sharma also bowled in two IPL matches where he bowled a total of three overs but did not get any wickets.

He completed his schooling at BSF Senior Secondary School before fully focusing on cricket after his intermediate studies. At 14, Vivrant lost his father, Sushil Sharma, to kidney failure, a tragic event that led his brother, Vivrant, to take on the family’s responsibilities. Vivrant's support allowed him to focus on honing his cricket skills. Initially a right-handed batter, Vivrant switched to left-handed batting and took up leg spin bowling in the sixth grade, following his brother's path in the sport.
