Dyana probably made the decision to leave King's Landing after receiving a bag of gold from Queen Alicent.

The fact that so many different emotions were experienced in this significant "House of the Dragon" episode 8 makes it, without a doubt, the best one yet. Although this episode lacked the action of the others, it still had strong emotions, especially when discussing the various characters who were central to the plot.

In that regard, Ser Erryk of the Kingsguard informed Queen Alicent in one such scene that something had occurred involving Prince Aegon in his apartments. The queen, who already knew what the prince was capable of, hurried to the scene.

She encountered a sobbing maid in Aegon's apartments and Alicent asked for her name and the circumstances of her accident. The maid identified herself as Dyana and began to recount how Prince Aegon had allegedly assaulted her sexually. Dyana never went into specifics about their relationship, but it was obvious that Queen Alicent recognized the difficulties the maid faced because she was aware of her son’s character.

Alicent assured Dyana that she had faith in her and understood what had transpired. She cautioned the maid not to tell anyone about what had happened, though, as doing so might damage Prince Aegon's reputation and diminish his chances of becoming king. Because of this, the queen compensated her for her troubles and indirectly suggested that she leave King's Landing in order to prevent her from telling anyone else what had happened to her.

How was Queen Alicent portrayed in regard to Dyana’s scene?

In this sense, the show deliberately gave viewers access to this scene so that people could comprehend the emotions and feelings associated with what was such a powerful moment for Alicent and how she perceived the things that her son did.

Even though Cersei Lannister from "Game of Thrones" and Alicent Hightower are frequently compared to one another, this helps us understand their differences. As long as the Lannisters remained in power, Cersei was prepared to permit Joffrey to carry out his cruel deeds, as was evident. However, Alicent was obviously upset and ashamed of what Aegon had done to Dyana because she even told him that he wasn't her son.

Geeta Patel, who directed episode 8, responded in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter when questioned about how perceptive and clever her approach was in that scene with Dyana:

"Showrunners Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik and executive producer and writer Sara Hess, when they were creating the story, made that choice.” “There were older actresses who were [not underage] who would’ve been easier to shoot with because you could have more hours with them.” “Then, when we saw that young actress, Maddie Evans, during her audition, we all had tears in our eyes." I said to Ryan, "This is going to screw up my schedule, but we have to have her." "She conveyed the vulnerability; she conveyed the tragedy."

Patel further added, regarding Olivia Cooke, "Let’s make this like a day in the life of a working mom.” “You see everything she’s dealing with; you see when she’s doing ugly things, but you understand her vulnerability.” “You understand she’s picking between two evils.” “So that scene had always worried me because I wanted so desperately for us to understand Alicent, but the words she’s saying and the actions she’s taking are all quite harsh and in line with those of a villain.”

"Then Olivia brought so much dimension; I remember after her first take, I was like, "Oh, thank God." “She brought everything—and so much more than I could have even thought of.” “So that was one of my favorite scenes to work on because I felt like it had the dimension with Alicent we were looking for."

Was Dyana pregnant in the "House of the Dragon"?

While it is impossible to know for certain whether Dyana was pregnant, Queen Alicent took care to prevent any unintended pregnancies by giving her Moon Tea after compensating her for her troubles. Naturally, we are aware of the fact that the nobles of the Seven Kingdoms frequently father numerous bastards due to their lack of concern.

Additionally, the Seven Kingdoms have not yet developed birth control or medieval condoms. As a result, moon tea has consistently been the best choice for preventing unintended pregnancies.
