Julia Louis-Dreyfus and her husband, fellow actor and comedian Brad Hall, have two sons: Henry, 30, and Charlie, 25.

With eight total wins, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, 62, is renowned for having the most Primetime Emmy Awards of any actor. Her most well-known roles include those in the hit television series "Veep," "The New Adventures of Old Christine," and "Seinfeld." Since 1987, Julia has been married to 64-year-old Brad Hall, a fellow actor and comedian.

Henry, Julia's eldest son, went with her for the biggest night in Hollywood, the Oscars 2023. Before entering the Oscars show, the mother and son walked the red carpet. Both boys have developed into such gifted and appealing men, and they both have achieved success in their respective fields.

Regarding Henry and Charlie, the following information is available:

Henry Hall

The eldest child of Julia and Brad was born on July 1, 1992, five years after the wedding of his well-known parents. Henry attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut for his undergraduate studies, where he put his love of music to the test by joining the band “Grand Cousin.”

The band eventually disbanded, but Henry continued his solo music career after college. In October 2020, he issued “Neato,” his debut solo album. “Am I In The Photo?” Henry's most recent single was released in August 2022.

Henry discussed having his mother's support in his career in a 2016 Rolling Stone interview. "My mom was very supportive of my music and still is and comes to all the shows. It’s great to have creative people in the family to bounce things off of. I really respect her opinion on all things creative," he said.

Every time Henry releases new music, Julia promotes it on her extensive social media following (she has over 1 million followers on Instagram). Julia shared a picture of the album cover when Henry released “Neato” in 2020 and urged her followers to check out Henry's music.

Charlie Hall

Charlie, the younger son of Julia and Brad, was born on May 30, 1997. His parents' alma mater, Northwestern University, is where Charlie attended college and participated in basketball. Charlie is succeeding as a promising actor, while Henry has focused on music.

His cameo in his mother's renowned HBO series “Veep” was one of his first on-screen appearances. Along with his friend Jack Price, Charlie also produced his own web series, “Sorry, Charlie.” Charlie has recently appeared in multiple episodes of “Love, Victor,” “Single Drunk Female,” and “Bel-Air.” In the Netflix film "Moxie," starring Amy Poehler, he also made his acting debut.

How did Julie and Brad Hall meet?

In the 1980s, Louis-Dreyfus and Hall first crossed paths as undergraduates at Northwestern University. The aspiring performer went through an audition process for a play that Hall was mounting with his comedy group, the “Practical Theatre Company.” After that, Louis-Dreyfus joined the group in her first year. In the 1980s, PTC enjoyed success both in Evanston, Illinois, where the school is located, and in nearby Chicago.

According to an essay by former castmate and PTC member Gary Kroeger in New York Magazine, producers Dick Ebersol and Bob Tischler hired all four members of the Practical Theatre Company, including Louis-Dreyfus and Hall, for SNL in 1982. At the time, Louis-Dreyfus was the sketch comedy show's youngest female cast member at age 21.

In 2003, the couple talked about how they met and what it was like to be a part of the comedy troupe in an interview with Grist, but Louis-Dreyfus could only think about how in love she was at the time with Hall.

"In our skits, we parodied the problems of the day—oil dependency, environmental negligence—a lot of the issues we're now seeing reemerge on the public radar," Brad said. In reply, Louis-Dreyfus said: "Ha! I don't even remember those skits. I was about 19 at the time and had fallen head over heels in love with Brad. He was a senior with a big old beard and Jesus' hair. I may have been just taking his word for it at that point.”

Louis-Dreyfus and Hall exchanged "I do"s on June 25, 1987. The ceremony took place in a church in Hall's hometown of Santa Barbara, California. According to a profile in The New Yorker, Hall's father was a minister. Gérard "William" Louis-Dreyfus, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' father, and Tom Bowles, her stepfather, accompanied her as she entered the church.

The “Veep” actress shared a picture of her and Hall on their wedding day in June 2022, which marked their 35th wedding anniversary. She captioned the picture, "Even though we're surrounded by a lot of bad news, I'm celebrating some good news today." "Been tied to this superb guy for 35 years!"
