About
The Gujarat Giants Women’s franchise, based in Vadodara, Gujarat, is owned by Adani Sportsline, which is part of the Adani Group.
It is led by legendary Australian Women's all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner, who is also the most expensive player in the entire squad, and coached by former Australian first-class cricketer Michael Klinger.
History

In the first-ever season of the Women's Premier League (WPL), the Gujarat Giants Women had a disappointing outing, as the Ashleigh Gardner-led unit finished with a wooden spoon with just two victories in eight matches.
However, Gardner once again proved to be the standout performer, as she finished as the side’s highest run-getter (204 runs) and second-highest wicket-taker (eight wickets). Meanwhile, Kim Garth was the leading wicket-taker with 11 wickets against her name.
Things didn't change much for the Adani-owned franchise last summer, as it once again finished at the bottom of the table after the round-robin stage, accumulating just two victories in eight matches. This time, Beth Mooney proved to be their leading run-scorer, amassing 285 runs in 8 games. Meanwhile, India’s Tanuja Kanwar was the highest wicket-taker (10). In WPL 2025, the Giants made it to the Playoffs but were eventually beaten by Mumbai Indians Women in the Eliminator.
