The Baltimore Ravens are an NFL franchise who currently compete in the AFC North Division of the National Football League. The Ravens are one of the youngest NFL franchises having been established in 1996. The Ravens were founded by former Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell. He planned on relocating the franchise to Maryland in 1995 but faced criticism from fans. Thus, he established the Baltimore Ravens in 1996 with the entire roster of the Cleveland Browns. Since being established in 1996, the Ravens have been a successful team, with two Super Bowl wins and two Conference Championships. The Baltimore Ravens have been owned by Steve Bisciotti since 2004. The franchise is valued at approximately $3.9 billion. Donning their purple and gold jerseys, the Ravens have historically been appreciated for their defense. Under players like Ray Lewis the Ravens were feared for their ferocious defense and in 2000, they were ranked as the league’s best defense. Currently the Ravens have been spearheaded by the dynamic quarterback Lamar Jackson.
