Born on May 16, 1985, in New Liskeard, Ontario, Corey Perry had an impressive minor hockey career, before getting drafted as the fifth overall pick into the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) by the London Knights in the 2001 Priority Draft. He immediately made an impact for the Knights, tallying 59 points in 60 games during his rookie season. The following year he was drafted as the 28th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
This began a memorable journey for Perry, as it brought many honors to him and made him one of the faces of the league. Moreover, after leaving the Ducks in 2019, he has gone onto represent the Dalas Stars, Montereal Canadians, Tampa Bay Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks and presently for the Edmonton Oilers.
