Jordin Canada is a women's professional basketball player with the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA. At 5 foot 6 inches tall Canada began her basketball career at Windward School, where she was named league MVP and earned a spot on the first-team All-League, playing under coach Vanessa Nygaard, a former WNBA player and coach. During her senior year, she also showcased her talents in the McDonald’s All-American Game where she established herself as top point guard in the country. After school basketball Canada chose to play for the UCLA Bruins college basketball team, where she became a three-time selection to the All-Pac-12 Defensive Team and was honored as the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. By the end of her college career, she was the second-leading scorer in UCLA history with 2153 points.

In the 2018 WNBA draft, Jordin Canada was picked fifth overall by the Seattle Storm. In her WNBA career, Despite being 5 feet 6 inches tall with a 5-foot-9 wingspan, Jordin Canada is a defensive force as she has made it to two WNBA All-Defensive First Teams and she has led the WNBA in steals twice (2019, 2023) in her WNBA career, as of January 2025. In addition to her WNBA success, she also played in the Australian WNBL, where she was named the league’s Most Valuable Player for the 2023-24 season. In the 2024 WNBA season, she is averaging 10.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game playing for the Atlanta Dream team as of August 2024.
