Jalen Hurts is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles franchise in the 2024 NFL season. Hurts was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. According to Spotrac, he signed a contract extension with the team, valued at $255 million in 2023. In 2022, he secured Second-team All-Pro honors, a Pro Bowl spot, and the Bert Bell Award. He was selcted to Pro Bowl once again 2023. Hurts holds an NFL joint-record for the most rushing touchdowns in a season by a quarterback - 15, as per Pro Football reference.

Hurts started his collegiate career at the University of Alabama, where he played from 2016 to 2018. He transferred to the University of Oklahoma for his senior season. His collegiate success includes being an important part of the 2017 CFP National Championship and earning Offensive MVP in the 2018 Sugar Bowl. His other noteworthy titles include Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 2019 and First-team All-Big 12. In 2016, he secured honors such as First-team All-SEC, SEC Offensive Player of the Year, and SEC Freshman of the Year, as per Oklahoma Sooners' official website.
