The Texas Rangers are a baseball team located in Arlington, Texas. They belong to the West Division of Major League Baseball’s American League. Originally established as the Washington Senators in 1961 they moved to Arlington and changed their name to the Texas Rangers in 1972. The team won their very first World Series title in 2023. They have also won 7 West Division titles in their illustrious career.
The Texas Rangers have their team mascot called Rangers Captain which was introduced in 2002. The Rangers Captain is a horse with a palomino-style coat who wears the team's uniform. The number 72 on his uniform is a tribute to the year when the Texas Rangers made Arlington their home.
In 2010 the team experienced their successful season by winning the American League pennant and earning a spot in the World Series. Their home games take place at Globe Life Field, a stadium equipped with modern amenities, for both players and fans alike.
Texas Rangers Spring Training Schedule
The Texas Rangers' Spring Training schedule for the 2024 season has been announced. The team will be playing a total of 30 games in Arizona, along with two exhibition games at Globe Life Field in Arlington. The Spring Training games will start on February 23, 2024, and will feature matchups against other Major League Baseball teams.
