Anfernee Simons is an American professional basketball shooting guard for the Portland Trail Blazers in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Nicknamed "Ant,” Simons was born on June 8, 1999, in Altamonte Springs, Florida, U.S. He attended Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, where he averaged 17.8 points, 4.6 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in his sophomore season. He then transferred to Montverde Academy during his junior year.

Simons returned back to Edgewater after being shunned to the bench in Montverde. He finally graduated from Edgewater in 2017, averaging 23.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. Simons was rated as a five-star recruit in the 2018 class and was also ranked as the seventh-best player. Simons decided to skip college and declared for the 2018 NBA Draft without an agent.

Simons was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 24th overall pick. In the 2022/23 season, Simons averaged a career-high 21.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in 62 regular season games.
