Jaylin Michael Williams, also known as "J-Will," is a professional basketball player who plays for the OKC Thunder as a center/power forward. Williams holds the distinction of being the first player of Vietnamese descent to play in the NBA.
Williams attended Northside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he played alongside Isaiah Joe, his current teammate in Oklahoma. Williams was a consensus four-star recruit in high school and received accolades such as Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball of Arkansas in 2020.
Upon joining college basketball at Arkansas from 2020 to 2022, Williams made a significant impact, leading the NCAA Division I with 54 charges drawn and setting a program single-season record with 364 rebounds during the 2021/22 season.
In the 2022 NBA Draft, the Thunder picked Williams with the 34th overall pick. He comes off the bench, primarily as a stretch four or five. Known for his ability to shoot, Williams averaged 4.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.4 steals per game in the 2023/24 season.
