He was declared for the NBA draft in 2018 and was selected by the Detroit Pistons as the 42nd overall pick in the draft.

With limited game time, the rookie Brown averaged 4.3 points, 1.3 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game. But the second year in the league was more fruitful for the versatile player. His stats doubled with an average of 8.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4 assists with the Pistons. Bruce established himself as a valuable role player.

Moving to a superteam of the Brooklyn Nets in 2020, Brown managed to impact the game with his all-around performances. In 2-seasons with the Nets, Bruce Brown averaged 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, shooting a career-best 50% from the field.

Brown's ability to guard multiple positions and disrupt opposing offenses quickly became apparent, earning him a reputation as a defensive specialist. The Denver Nuggets identified Brown as an important piece for their championship squad and signed in 2022.

With facilitators like Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, Brown’s scoring average improved to 11.5 points per game, providing a similar impact on the defensive end. He also recorded his first career triple-double in Nuggets colors.

In the playoffs also, Brown proved to be the difference maker for the Nuggets team. Coming off the bench, Brown scored 12 points and provided 2 assists and 4 rebounds in 20 games played. He even scored his playoff-best 21 points against the Miami Heat in the NBA finals, helping the team to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.
