Chris Finch has more than 25 years of experience as a coach in the NBA and the G-League. He is currently the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he helped the team advance to the playoffs for the first time since 2018 in his first season. Prior to this, Finch has coached the Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, and the New Orleans Pelicans.
Before the NBA, Finch has also served as part of the coaching staff for teams in the British Basketball League, German Bundesliga and the Belgian Basketball League. Additionally, between 2009 - 2012, Finch oversaw Great Britain’s national team at the FIBA EuroBasket and the London 2012 Summer Olympics.
As far as his playing career is concerned, Finch played college basketball at the Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he was a two-time All-American. He was inducted into the F&M Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Finch has the most career wins as a starter in NCAA Division III history.
