Dillon Mitchell is an American basketball player playing at the collegiate level as a Small Forward for the Texas Longhorns in the Big 12 conference. He was born on October 3, 2003, and currently stands at 6 '4, weighing 205 lbs.

Mitchell initially attended Sickles High School in Citrus Park, Florida for his freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Bishop McLaughlin Catholic School in Spring Hills, Florida for his junior year and then finally transferred to Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida for his final year. He played in the 2022 McDonald’s All-American Boys game and the Jordan Brand Classic. For his efforts and performance, Mitchell was the 2022 Jordan Brand Classic MVP, leading all scorers with 18 points.

After his stellar high school career, Mitchell was a consensus five star recruit and was considered one of the best players in his draft class. Dillon Mitchell received offers from various top universities and programs such as Tennessee and Florida State but on October 25, 2021, Mitchell committed to the Texas Longhorns. He played one season for Texas and averaged 4.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 17.5 minutes per game.

Dillon Mitchell’s Parents

Dillon Mitchell was born in Tampa, Florida on October 3, 2003, to Andrew Mitchell and Jennifer Pawlowski. Mitchell had played football for most of his life until his mother, Jennifer, preferred her sons to be engaged in basketball. Mitchell attributes this as the sole reason why he chose to pursue basketball as a career.

Apart from this, not much is known about Mitchell’s parents as they prefer to generally keep low and support their son as much as possible. Dillon Mitchell is also not reported to be dating anyone at the moment.

Dillon Mitchell’s siblings

Mitchell has two older brothers named Quincy Mitchell and Andrew Mitchell Jr. and two sisters named Ciara Mitchell and Cheyanne Mitchell. Mitchell’s brother Quincy played for Varsity in college till he graduated in 2012. Quincy was ranked 2245 nationally and 47 in Florida. After college, Quincy quit basketball and started to pursue other things in his career. Apart from this, not much is known about Mitchell’s siblings.
