After 18 seasons in the NBA, he moved to the Taiwanese-based Leopards in 2022. He was named a T1 All-Star in just his first season with the team.
Internationally, Howard has represented the United States. He won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympic Games. He started at center and averaged 10.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in the tournament.
