Grant Williams is an American power forward who plays for the Charlotte Hornets. Hailing from Houston Texas, Williams was a three-star recruit out of Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina but he built a reputation as a tough stretch-four power forward at the University of Tennessee from 2016 to 2019. Eventually, Williams got a chance to play in the NBA as he was selected by the Boston Celtics in the 2019 draft as the 22nd overall pick.
Year by year, Grant Williams steadily solidified his role with the Boston Celtics, increasing his minutes and contributions to the team. On May 15, 2022, Williams delivered the best game of his career as he scored a career-high 27 points in a decisive Game 7 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
