Guerschon Yabusele is a French basketball participant who was born on December 17, 1995. His father trained him in boxing as he was a boxing player who later served as a coach. But, as he grew up, Guerschon started out playing basketball with the youth basketball clubs in his hometown. Now, he performs professionally for Real Madrid of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague.

Along with his professional basketball career, Guerschon also plays for his home country as a member of the French men’s national basketball team. He led the group to several worldwide basketball championships such as the FIBA World Cup and Olympic Games. This really helps him boost his gaming skills and emerge as a skilled player in the world of basketball.

He also wanted his son to pursue his career in the same sport so he trained him in the early years of his life. As Guerschon grew up, he developed an interest in basketball and started playing with the youth clubs of the Chorale Roanne Basket in 2012. Guerschon got his placement in the under-21 team and honed his gaming skills with dedication and practice.

Professional Career

French Basketball player Guerschon Yabusele’s journey through numerous leagues and teams showcases his determination and versatility on the court. His professional career commenced with the Roanne team of the LNB Pro B in 2013, wherein he initially struggled, averaging just 1.5 points in his first season. However, his determination paid off, as he progressed significantly inside the next season, averaging six points, 4 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

In a surprising move. Guerschon joined Rouen Metropole Basket of the LNB Pro A in 2015 to boost his NBA draft prospects. His gamble paid off when he turned into selected as the 16th overall pick of the 2016 NBA draft by the means of the Boston Celtics. He later performed inside the 2016 NBA Summer League before briefly heading to the Chinese Basketball Association, turning into a CBA All-Star with the Shanghai Sharks.

Guerschon’s NBA journey started in 2017 when he signed with the Boston Celtics. While his rookie season saw him bouncing between the Boston Celtics and their developmental team, the Maine Red Claws. He achieved career highs in points, rebounds, and assists during the course of the 2017-18 season. After his time with the Boston Celtics, Guerschon embarked on global stints, becoming a member of groups like the Nanjing Monkey Kings and ASVEL within the French LNB Pro A.

His skills continued to shine, earning him a contract with the renowned Real Madrid in the Liga ACB and EuroLeague. Guerschon’s career trajectory exemplifies his resilience and adaptability, demonstrating his ability to excel in various basketball landscapes. In January 2022, he secured a three-year contract extension with Real Madrid, solidifying his presence in European basketball till the 2024-25 season.
