Jerami Grant is an American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers. Born on March 12, 1994, Grant plays the position of the power forward in the NBA and has recently come to be noticed in the NBA for his defensive prowess and versatility. Grant was born in Portland, Oregon, United States. Grant attended high school at DeMatch Catholic High School where he was recognized as being one of the top players in the country.
Grant played collegiate basketball for Syracuse University. He averaged 12 points, just under 7 rebounds and played around 30 minutes per game. His performance in college led him to achieve an All-ACC honourable mention in 2014.
Grant declared for the NBA draft in 2014 foregoing his eligibility to college. Grant was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 39th overall pick in the second round of the draft.
