Jonathan Kuminga Net Worth
Jonathan Kuminga

Jonathan Kuminga plays for the Golden State Warriors and was drafted as the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft. He had a ton of hype surrounding him before he came to the NBA. His elite athleticism and fast twitch while driving to the basket are what made Golden State sign him to their roster. He won his first championship the same year he was drafted into the NBA.

Before the NBA, Kuminga played in the NBA G-league for the G-League Ignite and averaged 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game on less than stellar 39 percent from the field, 25 percent from three-point range, and 63 percent from the free throw line. He showed flashes of his true potential multiple times but was not consistent with his production. He also averaged 2.6 turnovers per game which showed his inexperience and lack of polish to his game.

His upside is tremendous but the Warriors might have to wait a while before they get the fruit for their patience. A lot of Warriors' success is based on the hope that Kuminga can become a star in his role soon. So far this season, Kuminga has been averaging 11.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. He is far from a finished product but needs to improve on his dribbling skills, defense, and shot-making to become an All-Star caliber player.

The Warriors have been patient with Kuminga’s development and are keeping a very close eye on his growth. During the 2023/24 NBA season, Kuminga finally had a breakout season and many NBA and Golden State fans see Kuminga as a future star of the Warriors.
