Son of Jasmine and Craig Hawkins. Jordan attended Gaithersburg High School and after his sophomore year, he transferred to DeMatha Catholic High School. Playing for DeMatha High School, Jordan averaged 19.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.9 blocks. He won the 2020-21 Gatorade Maryland Player of the Year.
Taunted as a four-star recruit, Hawkins selected UConn over offers from Louisville, Seton Hall Marquette, and Xavier. Coming from the bench in his freshman year, Jordan Hawkins averaged 5.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game. He made it to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team.
