Kessler Edwards is an American basketball player who plays as a small forward for the Dallas Mavericks and their G League affiliate, the Texas Legends. He is on a two-way contract with the Mavericks. Standing at 6 feet 7 inches, Edwards is known for being a reliable "3-and-D" wing player. Born on August 9, 2000, in Glendale, California, Edwards grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, California where he played high school basketball at Etiwanda High School. As a junior in high school, Kessler Edwards averaged 17 points and nine rebounds per game, earning First Team All-Baseline League honors. In his senior year, he averaged 21.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and was named Baseline League MVP.

As a three-star recruit coming out of high school, Edwards continued his basketball career at Pepperdine University from 2018 to 2021. As a freshman, Edwards averaged 10 points and 5.6 rebounds per game and was named to the WCC All-Freshman Team. In his sophomore season, he elevated his performance, averaging 13.8 points and leading the team with 7.5 rebounds per game. He earned a spot on the Second Team All-WCC and helped lead Pepperdine to a College Basketball Invitational title, where he was named the tournament MVP. In his junior season, Edwards further improved, averaging 17.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. His standout play earned him First-Team All-WCC honors. After his junior year, he declared for the NBA Draft. Edwards was selected in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft, 44th overall, by the Brooklyn Nets. He played sparingly during his rookie season but started in 23 games and appeared in 48 games overall. Since his sophomore year in the NBA, Edwards has been striving to find a team that can fully utilize his talents.
