He gained recognition by winning the MVP of the District 6-6A. Keyonte George went on to play college level basketball at Baylor University where George continued to display his scoring prowess and earned a spot on the All Big-12 team and was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year.

George declared for the NBA draft in 2023 and was selected as the 16th overall pick by the Utah Jazz. George showed out in his rookie year in the league, setting career high records in scoring and rebounding the ball.
